I am available to offer lectures, seminars or training in many of the
areas listed below; please see the Seminars page on this website for
more details. R&D and Consulting
Services:
Nutritional and Health-related Products These
services are offered to commercial ventures. Consulting,
research and development (R&D) project manaagement and training
are offered in the following
realms:
- Nutritional
antioxidants in human
and animal nutrition and health.
- Beneficial syntropic
(i.e., anti-entropic or negentropic) antioxidative
microbes and microbial consortia in human and animal
nutrition and
health. This includes the beneficial microbial consortia are known
generically worldwide since 1984 as EM, effective microorganisms,
efficient microbes, effective microbes, and, beneficial effective
microbes
(BEM), compound microbes (CM) and compound microorganisms (CM).
- fermented
beneficial syntropic
antioxidant microbial (SAM) brews and other SAM-fermented
nutritional and health products: producing, brewing, bottling,
packaging, labeling, etc.
- Probiotic
effects of beneficial
antioxidative and syntropic synergistic microbes and microbial
consortia.
- Formulation
and testing of nutritional supplement products for vendors,
particularly products with high antioxidant scores. Includes acting as
consulting chief formulator for small vendors bringing new products to
market.
- Use and
interpretation of ORP (aka
oxidation-reduction
potential
or redox potential) and reductive (antioxidant) scores such as relative
hydrogen score (aka RH2 score or RH score) of bodily fluids as a
non-invasive indicator of relative level of health and whole-body
antioxidant status and as a predictor of morbidity and mortality.
- Use and interpretation of ORP
(oxidation-reduction potential, aka redox potential) and reductive
(antioxidant) scores such as relative hydrogen score (aka RH2 score or
RH score) and Velimirov P-value (aka
P-score) as an indicator of quality of
foodstuffs and processed food
products, including beverages and fermented beverages, including beer
and
wine.
- Use
and interpretation of antioxidant measures such as ORAC
(hydrophilic and lipophilic), HORAC, NORAC, SORAC, SOD
activity,
singlet oxygen quenching, FRAP, TEAC, DPPH-DPPH radical scavenging and
specific antioxidant assays such as total phenolics, total polypehnols,
total anthocyanins, total caroteniods, and levels of other
antioxidant compounds or classes in foods and beverages.
- Overview
and utilization of so-called skin scanning antioxidant testing devices
(aka skin antioxidant scanners) in determining overal antioxidant
status of humans.
- Determining
shelf life of
antioxidant products and other nutritional products.
- Maximizing shelf life of
nutritional products.
- Extremely
low-molecular-weight antioxidants (aka reducing agents), particularly
hydrogen-donor antioxidants such as active hydrogen, atomic hydrogen
(in water cages), dielectric interstitial hydrides,
and cutting-edge hydride-like compounds.
- Use of NMR assay and other assay
methods in determining presence of extremely
low-molecular-weight antioxidants (aka reducing
agents), particularly hydrogen-donor antioxidants such as active
hydrogen, atomic hydrogen (in water cages), dielectric interstitial
hydrides, and cutting-edge hydride-like compounds.
- Applications of humates, fulvates,
humic
acids, fulvic acids, lignites and leonardites in the fields of human
and animal nutrition and health.
- Applications
of natural mined
zeolites in the realms of human and animal nutrition and health.
- Trace element nutrition,
particularly extremely low-dose trace elements and the rare earths.
- Radiation
hormesis and radiation nutrition,
sometimes called radiogenic nutrition
- Applications
of unique rock dusts and clays as sources of trace elements and related
nutrients in human and animal nutrition and health.
- Cleaning
and sterilization of food-preparation surfaces and settings (i.e.,
kitchens) with electrolyzed acidic water (EAW), aka electrolyzed
oxidized water (EOW) as a safe and sustainable or "green" oxidizer.
- Quantum
and subquantum effects of electric, magnetic and EMF fields
- Effects
of magnets and magnetic treatment on water and aqueous fluids
- Spectrophotometric
analysis of water, foods and nutritional supplements via absorption and
transmission spectrometry with NIR-VIS-UV digital spectrophotometer.
- Acting
as consulting research and development director for small companies
trying to bring new technologies to market. This includes design of
studies and referral or testing to independent certified laboratories
across a wide range of disciplines as needed.
- Consulting
management of nutritional product testing,
including microbial
screening, antioxidant assays and nutritional value assays by
independent certified laboratories for small and start-up commercial
ventures.
- Consulting R&D
directorship for small companies
trying to bring new technologies to market. This includes design of
studies and referral for testing to independent certified laboratories
across a wide range of disciplines.
- Contractual project management
for R&D projects, product development, product evaluation and
testing and regulatory compliance, particularly for small
and start-up commercial ventures in nutritional and
health-related fields.

The
above and below photos show a portion of an experimental pilot
aquaculture
operation operated by one of my clients in Malaysia; the fish being
raised are tilapia, and during my consulting visit in mid-2008,
syntropic antioxidative microbes (SAM) were introduced to the
tanks to assist in improving the biology of the aquatic ecosystem.
