to Clients: Cutting-Edge and Alternative
Nutritional and
Health-Related Realms and Products
On
this page, I offer an overview and brief summary of some services in
the cutting-edge and alternative health category which
I have rendered to consulting and contractual clients since 1998. In
all
cases, any significant details which might allow an observer to
identify a client or technology or technology details to an
inappropriate extent have been
obscured to maintain complete client confidentiality.
A
note about client privacy and confidentiality: Identity of my clients
and details of work rendered for my clients, unless explicit
arrangements have been made otherwise, remains entirely confidential
and private. This is of utmost importance in this field, as many of my
clients have a number of proprietary and trade secrets for technologies
and processes which they wish to keep confidential.
- For
a small specialty
nutritional products distributor: project
management for product development and testing of a zeolite product in
water intended as a human nutritional supplement to facilitate toxin
removal from the body. Included guidance of product testing.
- For
a scientist/entrepreneur:
investigated a novel new nutritional antioxidant product which the
researcher had developed, performing numerous evaluative tests in my
in-house laboratory and also recommending and coordinating numerous
tests by external independent testing laboratories and eventually
providing guidance on labeling and marketing claims. My
work included use of in-house measures of ORP, PH, RH2
score (aka RH), and some proprietary rapid assay measures of singlet
oxygen quenching ability and other rapid assay measures of antioxidant
activity. My work also included in-house studies on the
rust-removal properties
and anti-rust properties of the product in water, and finally,
coordinating numerous antioxidant activity tests on the
product by independent certified antioxidant laboratories;
these
tests included ORAC, NORAC, HORAC, SORAC, SOD activity, and several
other assays.
- For
a producer of ormus-related
nutritional products:
evaluate four new ormus-type
nutritional supplement products and offer suggestions for improving
products. Was also asked for assistance in evaluating the producer's
product claims and in assaying the material properties of these liquid
products.
- For
an inventor/scientist/entrepreneur:
was
asked to investigate and evaluate several extremely low molecular
weight (ELMW) hydrogen-based primeval substances which exhibited
properties as a reducing agent and nutritional antioxidant;
this
category of ELMW hydrogen-based antioxidants is sometimes referenced as
"active hydrogen" antioxidants. My work included use of in-house
measures of ORP, PH, RH2 score (aka RH), and some proprietary rapid
assay measures of singlet oxygen quenching ability and other rapid
assay measures of antioxidant activity. The study included assays of
the
rust-removal properties and anti-rust properties of these products in
water, and also
included use of in-house
measures of ORP, PH, RH2
score (aka RH), and some proprietary rapid assay measures of singlet
oxygen quenching ability and other proprietary rapid assay measures of
antioxidant
activity. My services also included in-house studies on the
rust-removal properties
and anti-rust properties of the product in water,
and coordinating numerous antioxidant
activity tests on
the product
by independent certified antioxidant laboratories; these tests
included
ORAC, NORAC, HORAC, SORAC and SOD activity.
As a result of this work, this product was shown to
have applications in
industrial and waste remediation realms as well as in the
fields of
human and animal nutrition.
- For
an entreprenurial venture seeking to produce several products for the
consumer market which would log, monitor and display an assay of
various states of HRV-mediated psychophysiological coherence:
was asked to assist in product design and in creation of software
algorithms to evaluate relevant HRV indices and determine correlates
with healthful inner states of psychophysiological heart coherence. Was
also asked for assistance in evaluating the vendors's
product claims and marketing materials.
- For
a producer of ormus
nutritional products:
evaluate
six ormus nutritional supplement products in product
lineup to determine truth of marketing claims which they had been
making or which they were considering making. Services included testing
of all six products for physical and material properties and
recommendations for limiting scope of claims.
- For
an inventor/developer of a
novel device for treating water with magnetic fields designed for human
nutritional use:
evaluate
product design and performance employing both in-house
laboratory testing of properties of treated water and
management
of testing by independent certified testing labs of treated water and
other treated products.
- For
a manufacturer of environmental and health-related products: was
asked to investigate and evaluate the claims made for, and the
properties of, several types of ceramic balls available from Asian
manufacturers which were claimed to have antioxidative effects on
water, or to introduce "negative ions" into water or air, or to
drastically reduce the ORP of water, or to produce "active hydrogen" in
water.
- For
a distributor of environmental and health-related products: was
asked to investigate and evaluate the claims and technologies of five
companies claiming that their devices for area treatment (aka space
treatment) and water treatment employed "scalar waves" or scalar
technologies. This involved evaluation of actual effects of these
devices. This client also asked me to evaluate seven types/brands of
water which the vendors claimed had very special and powerful healing
properties because they had been treated with scalar waves.
- For
a distributor of environmental and health-related products: was
asked to investigate and evaluate the claims and technologies of over a
dozen companies claiming that their devices --
ranging in size from
pendants for personal use to area treatment devices designed
to treat a
large room --
could reduce the reduce the harmful effects upon humans and
animals of
electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields (aka EMF), also
known as
electrostress, produced by modern appliances and systems such
as AC
power wiring, "wireless", and radio and TV signals. Was also asked to
review and test a smaller lineup of similar products claimed to protect
users from geopathic energies, aka geostress. Was eventually asked to
recommend specific products for inclusion in the distributor's product
lineup, and was then asked at a later date to design a line of
high-effectiveness devices in this area to comprise their in-house
product lineup. My work in this product involved design and
fabrication of over two dozen prototype devices for the client, and
eventual limited licensing and transfer of technology to enable their
contractual fabrication plant to build the devices in large production
quantities.
- For
a distributor/reseller of a line of devices for treating water
and
other products with magnetic fields designed for human nutritional use
and for personal care applications:
evaluate
product design and performance employing both in-house
laboratory testing and management of
testing by independent certified testing labs. Service included
recommendations for modification of advertising claims and also
guidance regarding laboratory testing and studies which would support
some product claims. Included evaluation of all marketing material and
website text to ensure compliance with commonsense guidelines of truth,
honesty and to ensure FDA and FTC compliance.
- For
a distributor of
ormus-related and other cutting-edge nutritional products:
was
asked to evaluate the rather astounding and seemingly unbelievable
claims for an ormus product made by a vendor asking them to market
their product. Was eventually able to locate the laboratory which had
performed the putative studies and interview the scientist/CEO who
had issued the "laboratory report
and analysis" in question, and was, with his assistance, able
to debunk all of the
vendor claims
made in their "report" as entirely fabricated and fraudulent.
- For
a large distributor/vendor of environmental and sustainable living
products:
was asked by this vendor to investigate claims by the manufacturers of
several ceramic products in their product line that the ceramic
products, when immersed in water, would drastically reduce the ORP (aka
redox potential) of the water in short order and that the products
would produce a large "antioxidative effect" and would generate large
quantities of "active hydrogen" in water so treated. I was able to
prove
and to report that the products did not exhibit these properties as
claimed, and was able to point the client to other ceramics products
as well as other products on the market which could produce
some
or all of those desired effects.
- For
an inventor/entrepreneur/researcher:
was asked to compile an extensive bibliography of articles in the
mainstream peer-reviewed scientific literature referencing water
clustering and or structured water, particularly those with relevance
to the client's investigations. This led to my identifying over four
hundred articles and acquiring single copies of each from online
sources
and through a document retrieval service for use in compiling the
bibliography.
- For
an inventor/entrepreneur/researcher:
was asked to compile an extensive bibliography of articles in the
mainstream peer-reviewed scientific literature referencing existence in
water and other media of various forms of hydrogen, including atomic
hydrogen, negative hydrogen ions (aka H- or H-minus ions), and simple
extremely low molecular weight (ELMW) dielectric interstitial mineral
functional hydrides. This led to my identifying over one
hundred articles and acquiring single copies of each from online
sources
and through a document retrieval service for use in compiling the
bibliography.
